Reliance Jio has reportedly announced a new plan for its Prime Members on Friday. Under the Prime offer scheme, Jio prime members can get upto 10GB free data if they recharge their account before April 1, 2017. If subscribers opt for Rs. 149 prepaid plan, they will get 1 GB free data along with the original 2 GB and Unlimited calls. Similarly under the Rs. 303 plan, Jio offers 5 GB of free data along with 28 GB data. In the Rs. 499, Rs. 999, Rs. 1999, Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 9,999 plans Jio is offering 10 GB of free data over and above the data originally on offer.

WiKiLeaks reportedly released a report and revealed that a CIA hacked iPhone cannot be recovered by just resetting the device. According to reports, CIA rewrites a device's firmware in ways that would maintain a hacker's access even if a user resets a phone or computer to factory settings. CIA has been infecting the iPhone supply chain of its targets since at least 2008, added WiKiLeaks report.

Director of Online Partnerships and Development, YouTube David Powell reportedly said that almost 180 Million Indian watch YouTube videos on their phones alone.  "We're seeing more hunger for YouTube content across all genres. In 2016, we saw over 500 creators across India get over 100k subscribers", added Powell. "We will ramp up our efforts in creator community events across the country with a big focus on the south of India”, highlighted Powell.

India’s top telco Bharti Airtel is expected to Launch Voice over LTE technology soon. According to reports, sources have said that technology and infrastructure for the wireless communication are ready and Airtel is conducting last minute testings. Notably, Jio, India's first 4G-only network, launched its VoLTE service on September 5, 2016.

HMD Global has reportedly revealed the launch plans for its much expected Nokia-branded Android smartphones. The company has planned to launch the smartphones in Q2 2017(April-June) in almost 120 markets around the world at the same time.Notably, the Nokia 6 was released in January in China, and HMD further unveiled the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 at MWC last month.

Facebook is reportedly testing out bubble texts for its comments section similar to Messenger. The thread-like text bubbles will replace the current flat text layout. A Facebook spokesperson said that they are working to make Facebook a more visual and engaging place to have conversations and they are testing multiple design updates in News Feed, including a more conversational way to comment on posts.

WiFi connectivity in airplanes is provided by the air-to-ground connectivity method. Using the transmission technique, mobile broadband towers on the ground send signals up to an aircraft's antennae. Airplanes also use satellite technology, through which a plane connects to satellites in the geostationary orbit which help to transmit signals to Earth via receivers and transmitters.

According to a report by financial services company IHS Markit, tech giant Apple’s iPhone 6s has been voted as the best-selling smartphone in 2016. Further, the company on its website added that iPhone 7 was the best seller in the fourth quarter alone, followed by iPhone 7 Plus. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 ranked fifth and ninth, respectively, outperforming S6 and S6 Edge in terms of sales.

India’s top telcos Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular have reportedly added nearly 1.2 million subscribers each in the month of February. According to reports, the data was released by the Cellular Operators Association of India. Notably, Vodafone has added around 7.9 Lakh subscribers in the same month.

Telecom giant Airtel has reportedly said that they will buy Indian Internet service provider Tikona’s 4G business for rs 1600 crore on Thursday. The deal includes the acquisition of Tikona's Broadband Wireless Access spectrum and 350 sites in five telecom circles. Airtel has planned to roll out high-speed 4G services on the newly acquired spectrum in the five circles immediately after they sign the deal. Notably, Airtel has been named as the fastest network in India.

Oppo has reportedly launched its 'Selfie Expert' smartphone Oppo F3 Plus at an event in New Delhi on Thursday. The smartphone will be the first in the company's lineup to sport a dual selfie camera setup. The smartphone sports a 16 MP main camera and an 8 MP sub-camera as its main highlight. Oppo F3 Plus has a 6-inch full-HD display, Snapdragon 653 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and also offers 64GB of internal storage. Priced at Rs. 30,990, the first sale of F3 Plus begins on April 1 across India and will also be available on Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal.

Researchers at the University of Glasgow's School of Engineering have developed a way to use graphene, an ultra-thin form of carbon, to generate electricity via solar power. Graphene, which is just one atom thick, is strong, highly flexible, electrically conductive and transparent, making it ideal for gathering the sun's energy to generate power.

LG on Thursday introduced the 'Stylus 3' smartphone in India. The Stylus 3 was first showcased at the CES 2017. As its name suggests, the Stylus 3 comes with a stylised 'stylus'. Other than that, Stylus 3 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor supported by a 3GB RAM. Camera wise, the handset sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. LG Stylus 3 is comparatively priced at Rs. 18,500.

ISRO has commissioned two facilities, a Hypersonic Wind Tunnel and Shock Tunnel at the Vikram Sarabhai Space research Centre in Thiruvananthapuram as part of its continuous and concerted efforts to minimize the cost of access to space. The one-meter Hypersonic Wind Tunnel and one meter Shock Tunnel have been established with a wide spectrum of simulation capabilities in terms of Mach number, Reynolds number and re-entry velocities.

Xiaomi Redmi 4A bears a hybrid dual-SIM card slot and runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Redmi 4A sports a 5-inch HD display, 13 MP rear camera with a 5-lens system, 5MP front camera, and comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 128GB. The smartphone comes in Dark Grey and Gold variants. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 5,999.

Japanese multinational video game company Nintendo has reportedly launched its famous game Super Mario Run for android devices on Thursday. Super Mario Run has three modes as World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder. The app is available on the Google Play Store. Nintendo also launched an update for the iOS users.
