India’s special athletes made 18 medals so far in the 2017 Olympics World Winter Games in Austria. Six gold, four silver and eight bronze medals are included in the tally. The team of 89 differently abled sports persons of the Special Olympics Bharat is participating in the competition. Notably, over 2600 athletes from 105 nations are taking part in the event.

Indian captain Virat Kohli takes a dig at the Australian media after they compared him to the US President Donald Trump. "I'm surprised that everyone is so affected by one individual," Kohli said. "If it helps in selling their news, good luck to them," Kohli added. The 4th and Test match of the series is set to happen on Saturday at Dharamsala.

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has backed the Indian captain Virat Kohli after the Australian media termed Kohli as the Donald Trump of world sport. "It's a big compliment for Virat if Aussie media is comparing him with Trump. It means he is the best", said Yuvraj on Thursday. Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, cricketers Cheteshwar Pujara, Michael Clark, and Steve Waugh backed Kohli regarding the incident.

New Zealand cricketer Trent Boult has reportedly been ruled out of the third Test against South Africa in Hamilton. According to reports, Boult was suffering from a groin injury and has failed to recover. The team’s medical staff has said that Boult needed further time to be ready. Notably, Tim Southee was earlier ruled out with a torn hamstring.

India skipper Virat Kohli has said that he will play the fourth Test against Australia if only he is hundred percent fit. Stating that the rule applies to all the team members, Kohli said the physiotherapist will decide if he is fit to play the Dharamsala Test. Kohli also said, if he misses the match, the other players will take it as challenge and take the game forward.

Legendary former Australian skipper Steve Waugh has reportedly said that the Indian captain Virat Kohli has parts of Australian legend Ricky Ponting and himself. "There's probably elements of Ricky and myself in his captaincy, but having said that he's his own man”, said Waugh. Kohli is obviously a very aggressive captain, and he encourages a lot of talk amongst his troops. He's got positive body language, added Waugh.

Rohit Sharma, who has suffered a minor knee injury and Kedar Jadhav, who has suffered a stomach-related ailment, have been rested for the Deodhar Trophy. Rohit, who was supposed to lead India Blue, will now be replaced by Harbhajan Singh. A BCCI press release reportedly said the tournament will be played in Visakhapatnam from March 25-29.

According to reports, the Indian captain Virat Kohli is doubtful for the 4th and final Test in Dharamsala due to his shoulder injury which he suffered during the 3rd Test. Kohli is expected to take a final call on the morning of the match which is scheduled to happen on Saturday. Notably, BCCI has called up Shreyas Iyer as a cover for Kohli.

Uttar Pradesh coach Rizwan Shamshad on Thursday said that Indian batsman Suresh Raina has become a reluctant cricketer and has lost concentration in his game, since his wedding. Notably, Raina was omitted by the BCCI in its central contract holders for the 2016-17 season and has only played three Ranji Trophy games for UP this season. “With so many youngsters on the horizon, his chances of a comeback into Indian Test or ODI teams are bleak. He can still eye the T20s, but it will depend a lot on his IPL form where he will lead Gujarat Lions again,” Shamshad added.

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of the fourth and final Test match against Australia after he failed to recover from his injury and is still undergoing treatment under physio Patrick Farhart. “Shami was with the team in Ranchi also as Farhart is monitoring his progress. He was not named in the squad of 15 for the final Test. Sending him to play Vijay Hazare final was a part of that extensive rehabilitation plan,” said a BCCI official.  

According to reports, Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer has been called up by the Indian selectors as a cover for Indian skipper Virat Kohli for the final Test against Australia in Dharamsala, which is scheduled to begin on March 25. This comes after Virat Kohli who picked up a shoulder injury during the Ranchi Test, was present at the Dharamsala stadium with his India teammates on Thursday and took part in the customary warm-up with a bandaged right shoulder.

South African cricketer and top T20I bowler Imran Tahir has reportedly been picked by the Rising Pune Supergiants team from registered available player pool list as a replacement for Australia’s Mitchell Marsh. Tahir went unsold during the IPL10 player auctions at Bengaluru. Notably, Marsh, who is suffering a shoulder injury, is expected to be sidelined for around nine months.

South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock is reportedly suffering a finger injury and is expected to withdraw from IPL 2017. According to reports, de Kock, who had signed to Delhi Daredevils, injured his right index finger during the second Test against New Zealand at Wellington. Notably, another Daredevils player Duminy had earlier withdrawn from the tournament.

India captain Virat Kohli reportedly skipped his batting during the practice session due to his shoulder injury at Dharamsala on Thursday. Kohli injured his right shoulder while fielding in the 3rd Test against Australia in Ranchi and did not take the field until he came out to bat. According to reports, the Indian physio has asked Kohli not to exert too much pressure on his hurt shoulder.

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has reportedly spoken about the possibility of playing 2019 World Cup. According to reports, the 35-year-old cricketer, in a promotional event, has said that he could easily go beyond the 2019 World Cup if he plays in same way he does now. Notably, Dhoni also added that a lot can happen in two years.
