Top politician convicted in scam

Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was convicted in the multi-billion fourth fodder case by a special CBI court on Monday. The fodder scam case entails to the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.13 crore from Dumka treasury in the 1990s. While the quantum of sentence is to be decided later, it is learnt that Lalu will appeal against the sentence in a higher court, according to his lawyer.
