The $400 million value for Snapdeal is reportedly 94% lesser than its earlier valuation of $6.5 billion.
The Chennai Metro Rail Ltd is reportedly planning to install solar power plants at its stations. According to reports, this initiative will save up to ₹1.5 crore a year in energy costs. The Reserve Bank of India has reportedly asked banks to resolve 55 identified high value cases of bad loans within a period of six months. Reportedly, the central bank would examine those cases and refer for resolution under the new Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, if they are not resolved. Earlier this month, RBI had identified 12 accounts for insolvency proceedings, which accounted for 25% of total bad loans of banks, say reports.

Reliance is now offering free home delivery of its SIM card in more than 600 towns across India. Customers can initiate their 4G SIM home delivery on the Jio website. Customers need to download the MyJio app, generate a coupon in the app, and book an appointment online to get the SIM delivered. Aadhaar number is needed for eKYC purposes and generating the coupon on the app.
The Indian government on Thursday announced that GST Network, the company providing IT services for the GST, will launch two call centres on Sunday. These call centres will handle queries from taxpayers and tax officials about the GST. Notably, GSTN has partnered with Infosys and Tech Mahindra in launching these call centres.
Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani had reportedly announced that the state is planning to build a new shopping complex in T Nagar. According to reports, the complex will be rented out to the pavement dwellers. Notably, the complex is expected to be constructed at the cost of Rs 20 crore. An online system to process corruption cases against government employees was launched in Delhi on Thursday. Reportedly, the online system had in-built mechanism to send reminders to officer concerned if he is found to be taking unjustified time in processing disciplinary proceedings. The new system will expedite the proceedings against such employees, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said.

The ICC had reportedly agreed to pay USD 405 million to the BCCI as per the International Cricket Council's revenue sharing model. ICC agreed to the deal after the apex body conference in London.
